I am wondering what is the best brand of quick detachable add-ons to put on my B7610. With a fresh hernia operation, I need some help here. I will be rotating between a bush hog, box blade, rake & scraper blade. I saw a unti today that had a rigid franework for Cat 1 and required bushings for each extra implement. I think it was a "Speedco"? It was $230 at Agri-Suppliy in Petersburg, Va. and I would have bought but wamted to confer with my Brethren here first. It sure looked easier!

the Delta Hook system looks to me to be the easiest, but requires a mount for each implement as well as the tractor mount. Once mounted it will likely be the easiest to work with. ....

I have the Speedco unit. came with my 3130HST and works fine with woods rotary mower, scraper blade and box blace. my implements were set up with the proper bushings when came from my dealer, but believe it would have been a piece of cake to put them on otherwise. can speak with authority on other brands or pieces of equipment, but the woods implements i have line up perfectly with the Speedco quick-hitch so far as the horizontal spacing of the pin brackets are concerned. I do have a hydraulic top link, which probably makes things easier, but i had never hooked up a tractor implement before getting my stuff last year and I find it a piece of cake. good luck. ....

I have the Speedco, and found 90% of the implements work flawlessy with it without modifications. I love it, The KK 6' finish mower I had to modify to get it to fit by moving the a-frame arm on one side from the normal outside position to the inside to make it fit, but now that I did I can hitch it up in a few minutes compared to at least a half hour without the quickhitch. It came with one set of bushings which I mounted to the mower since I use that the most, for the rest I bought bushings and pins. For each unit you need (2) cat 1 to cat 2 bushings and (2) cat 2 to cat 3 bushings, and then the pins with the hoops on them. I have a tiller that takes just a few minutes to hook up, its a KK 5', and the clearance between the pins and the frame is just enough for the quickhitch to fit through, the top link is 2 hole adjustable, so I have to pull the pin, hook up to the tiller, then fit the top hook between the fram and the top link of the tiller and reinsert the pin, it takes the close setting, the box scraper I can set using either one, and gain a pitch for the front or rear blade depending on which hole I use. For the grader and landscape rake I can use either one as well. The only thing that doesn fit quite well, the spacing on the pins is much shorter than the rest is my boom, but considering it can only support up to 600#s I am not too concerned with that, it still locks in, just not on the bushings, one sid is bushed the other just sits on the end of the pin and its on a slight angle, bit is locked in and wont move. The only thing you need to consider with installing a quick hitch is the length of your drive shafts. The mower wasnt a problem, but the tiller was. I could not find the proper PTO extension for the tractor, but I did find one for the tiller, I wound up welding it to the shaft on the tiller since it was hardened steel and a drill bit just walked across the surface and would not even scratch it. Been like that for 3 years of hard work and never had a problem, except for pulling the cover off the shaft when I forgot to disconnect it after dropping the tiller. Anyone know how to get the cover back on a KK driveshaft? ....

Thanks, I am cosicering the SPEEDCO myself for my B7610. What tractor do you have yours on? Your write up makes ir sound more complicated than I am sure it is. I have a Woods Brushbull 48" rotary cutter, and it is the only PTO driven implement I currently own/use. I wouldn't want to have shaft problems with this. I have a 6' Kodiak rake, 6' Woods RB72 rear scraper blade and a Bush Hog SBX60 5' box blade. How much are the bushings for each implement? I want to make sure it is well worth the investment. Thanks. ....

The only thing you need to check is the length of the shaft. You need to make up about 3" for the quick hitch, other than that, all your implements, considering they are all full CAT 1 sized will fit no problems. The bushings if you buy the ones made by Speedco for their hitch will run about $20 a set, the bushings you can get at any tractor supply will cost you maybe $7-$10 for all 6 pieces and they can be easily removed if needed, the bushings for Speedco are attached using drive in split pins and are pretty much locked on when done, you would need to drive the pins out. With the bushings I use, they slip over each other and the lock in keeps them in place. I found them very handy, if I get, or borrow another impliment, I can just take them off of one of the others in seconds and put them on the new one in seconds. Hookup is very simple. Two levers are pulled up releasing the catches, the lower pins slip into the notches, release the levers and they are locked in, then attach the top pin and you are all set. I find I seldom ever need to adjust the top link or the side link on the 3 point. ....
